McKenzie has kept us busy this past year. She wanted to try dance this past year and she did great. Tap and Jazz Dance, Twirling (Baton), Gymnastic, Musical Theater and Mini Glee during the week and Horseback riding on Saturdays. McKenzie went to State with her twirling and won "Grand Champion". Very proud of her. This summer has been fun swimming and going to different camps. Last week was Pretty as a Princess camp and she wanted an Ariel costume for Thursday morning, she told me this on Wednesday. Wednesday all day I attempted to make an Ariel costume and she looked so cute. This week is Art Camp. I can't wait to see what she brings home.
What a wonderful vacation we had...wish we could have stayed longer. We went to all 4 parks and McKenzie had 2 special lunches...one with the Winnie the Pooh characters and the food was great and the other was with the Disney Princesses.
This pass weekend we went to Corsicana for by mom's Homecoming. We were sitting in the lobby of the hotel chatting with friends and all these pretty ladies were coming in with banners on. They were having the Mrs. Texas pageant. Mrs. Texas from last year walked in and McKenzie wanted her picture with her. Mrs. Texas had her crown in a clear box, take it out of the box and put it on. McKenzie said "She's a REAL princess".
What a special night this was. The kids said a bible verse from A to Z, sang some songs that melted my heart and watched a slide show from the beginning of school to the last day of school. I can't believe McKenzie is a first grader now.
Today was Field Day at McKenzie school. She had a blast. I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of school and she will be a First Grader. That just doesn't seem right.
